Bolivia - Access to Education and Healthcare
The lack of official identification is a key factor in contributing to the cycle of chronic poverty in Bolivia, without it, people can be excluded from accessing basic services, entering work and having the income they need to register their child’s birth. At World Vision we’re helping women, children and young people to attend registry offices to get birth certificates and legal identification. We’re also training local people to be aware of the benefits of having an official identity so they can encourage others to access the services that they’re entitled to. Thanks to our supporters, we’ll be ensuring that 54,000 men, women and children in 543 communities will have access to the rights and freedoms they deserve.
