Dora, 3, Vanuatu, World Vision 2017

After a disaster, school is often held in tents, with few teachers and teaching materials.

Dora’s school was destroyed during Cyclone Pam, and she spent 11 months learning in makeshift tents. World Vision has now built a new kindergarten with a cyclone-resistant structure, meaning that she has a safe place to study and can enjoy learning with her classmates again.

Giving the gift of a classroom will mean that another class, like Dora’s, can have a new, safe place to learn.
